There were three options for lighting this barn interior; fluorescent, incandescent barn fixture or low bay fixtures. Fluorescents approved for agricultural applications were too expensive, many barn fixtures would have had to be installed, so we decided to use the low bay fixture. Not has many needed to be installed and the light is very evenly distributed. Incandescent barn fixtures were installed above the stalls and shower area for supplemental light because of the stall walls and doors blocking some light. We also installed two barn fixtures to the front of the barn for illumination while the low bays came to full power or for enough light if someone wanted to come in just for a moment or two to retrieve something.
